highcrest gcse exams

Highcrest’s A level results, 72% A*-C grades, were going to be hard to beat but GCSE results, in many ways, kept up our record breaking year.  In a ‘secondary modern’ cohort we achieved our highest ever total of A* and A grades (13% of all grades).
There were some of Highcrest’s highest ever individual scores with Shahrukh Chishti achieving 10 A* and 2 A grades and Georgia Jones 3 A*, 8 A and 1 B grade.
Wider GCSE results were very similar to 2015; praised by Ofsted given the context of the cohorts.  51% of students achieved 5 ‘good’ grades or more 46% with English and Maths. Every student achieved at least one pass and the vast majority (98%) achieved 5 passes, this includes students with SEN statements.
Full analysis is still being undertaken and some results are being checked but Highcrest is confident that our ‘value added’ score will again be strong, our gap between disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged will be among the most narrow in the county and better than national averages.

Instructions to Students

All students must report to the canteen 30 minutes before the start time of the exam. Students should be in the canteen by 8.30am for a morning exam and 1.00pm for an afternoon exam. They do not need to go to registration as a register will be taken in the exam.
