The Highcrest Academy are celebrating some of their best ever GCSE results. Delighted principal Glen Burke stated: “This is the highest GCSE pass rate for students achieving 5+ GCSEs including English and Maths that we have ever achieved. We are all extremely proud of our students who have worked so hard to achieve these wonderful grades.

“These great results reflect their determination as well as the support of their families and I am now looking forward to welcoming many of them back in September to our brand new Sixth Form Centre”

“A huge thank you to our staff who have worked exceptionally hard to support our students. I feel privileged to lead such a dedicated team of colleagues”.

Head of year 11 Alex Merrick beamed,” I am so proud of the whole year group and the results they have achieved. Their perseverance through all the changes they’ve experienced during their GCSEs and  their dedication and attendance to extra intervention session during their weekends and holidays has been reflected in their achievements.”

All at The Highcrest Academy are celebrating yet another fantastic year of A-Level and BTEC Level 3 results, with every single student passing every single course!

Delighted Principal Glen Burke commented,” These results, which are some of our best ever, are particularly pleasing in light of the reforms to A levels with a move away from coursework. This is now the fourth consecutive year that students at the academy have achieved 100% pass rate across the board, with 42% of students achieving the top A*-B grades and 73% gaining A* - C grades. These results are a real testament to the ambition, hard work and commitment of our wonderful students and our staff who always go above and beyond”.

Anna Bannister, Head of Sixth form beamed, “I’m so proud of our students! These results reaffirm that we have a fantastic Sixth Form, and with our brand new specialist building due to be opened next month, these are exciting times to be a Sixth Former at the Highcrest Academy!”
