Sixth Form

Highcrest Community School has a vibrant Sixth Form. Each year we welcome post-sixteen students into the Lower Sixth to pursue a wide variety of Advanced Courses and vocational BTEC First Diploma courses as well as some GCSE re-takes. Courses currently on offer are:

The most recent Options information is available from the school.

Our Sixth Form also provides a common core of PSHE, Citizenship, RE/Ethics and Sport/Recreation. This core is designed to provide preparation for adult life at work or in higher education; it also builds a team ethos among all students. There are also many events and visits linked to individual courses or the core studies.

The Sixth Form presents exciting and demanding new challenges which provide important steps in the process of preparing for Higher Education and employment. Students are given the opportunity to develop their independence and take on a greater responsibility for their own work, as well as providing important role models for the younger members of the school.
